Vintage Borsalino Brown Fedora Hat Mens Size Large 7 1/4

This is a superior quality (Qualita Superiore) mens fedora hat made by Borsalino of Italy.  The color is a very attractive muted medium brown.  The hat is stamped on the upper interior lining with “Qualita Superiore Borsalino Alessandria Italia Marca Depositata”.  The leather sweatband is gold stamped “Borsalino Made in Italy Original House Founded in 1857” - this hat would have been made by Borsalino for export to North America.  There is a cloth size label that reads 7 1/4 (large).  The hat measures 22 5/8” around the sweatband and 8” by 6 5/8” across the opening.  The brim is turned and stitched and measures 1 7/8” in width and the crown has a height of 5”.  It is in very good condition with the exception of some light staining to the interior lining, slight wear to the grosgrain band and a short area at the right side where the sweatband is unstitched from the hat  - a professional could repair this, and at the same time clean the hat, but this is very usable as is.  This is a very nice quality hat by Borsalino, nice color, easy to wear style.......
