This is a wonderful late 50s era evening gown featuring the most gorgeous fabric.  The fabric is a very fine printed silk that has burn-out velvet leaves in white and pale blue raised on the surface.  The background print is in tones of grey, blue and black  The dress is made in a sleeveless style, with an asymmetrical high set neckline that features a wider shoulder on the right side than the left.  The bodice has diagonal pleating from the upper right to the lower left.  The dress has a defined waistline with a decorative panel hanging from the left side of the waistline where there is also pleated gathering on the upper skirt.  The dress has a V shaped opening at the upper back and a 12 1/4” slit at the center bottom back of the skirt.  The dress is lined in silk organza and does up the back with a metal zipper.  Please note that the dress was pinned back on my mannequin for the photos as it was too large for her - the silhouette will be slightly different on a body with the proper fit.

Label: None, but this was made by a very good private couturier seamstress as the dress is expertly made and hand finished.
