Vintage 1950s Lace Dress Black Chantilly Evening Gown Size M

This is a 1950s lace dress made of black Chantilly lace over a black taffeta rayon fabric base. This 1950s lace dress has cap sleeves, and a sweetheart neckline.  The base fabric has spaghetti straps and is cut shorter than the lace, so that the upper bodice of the dress shows up the lace against the skin and the pattern at bottom of the lace is also more apparent.  The skirt is made in small vertical pleats, but the pleating has come out somewhat.  It is cut fully and posed with a crinoline, but no crinoline is supplied.  The dress does up the side with a metal zipper.  It has loops for a belt, but no belt is supplied  

Sizing: No size is indicated, and although this 1950s lace dress should fit a medium size, please note the following measurements for fit, taking into account the style of the dress:

Shoulders:  22” across the top, including the cap sleeves

Bust:  36” around, taken at the underarms

Waist:  26”/27” around

Hips:  38”/40”. meant to fall loosely

Length:  49” long, measured flat

Condition:  This 1950s lace dress is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odour. - the only break to the lace that I could find is a small one at the seam of the right armpit, really nothing.  This dress looks to have seen little use and was well stored over the years.
