Vintage Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Paris Wool Skirt Blue w Orange Check XS

This is a wool skirt made by the renowned Parisian fashion house of Yves St. Laurent during the 1970s.  The skirt is woven in a black and orange check with green and red outlining on a blue background.  It is made with wide pleats front and back and does up the side with a metal zipper.  The skirt is fully lined in blue rayon.

Label: Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Paris Made in France.  In addition, there is a Tyvek label indicating the model number, and the content of 100% wool.  This came from a lot of vintage French designer clothing that I acquired and I believe that this may have been a sample.

Sizing: Size 38 is indicated, but this is a vintage French sizing - it should fit an extra small size, but please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Waist:  24”

Hips:  35”-36”

Length:  28”

Condition: It is in excellent condition - very clean and looks like it saw little, if any, use.  As mentioned, I believe that this is a sample, so probably was not used, and special attention was taken in its manufacture.

This is a wonderful skirt by one of the greatest Parisian fashion designers……interesting colour combination, great for winter wear!
