This is a wonderful vintage felt circle skirt dating to the 1950s. The skirt is original and not a copy or reproduction. The skirt was used originally with the red sweater pictured. You can see from the label on the sweater, which reads “Ra-Mil of Boston” that it is genuinely from the 50s.  There is no label on the skirt.

The sweater, unfortunately, has some small holes - I will include it free with the skirt, should you like to have it.  If not, just let me know.

The skirt is made in a full circle and is posed with a crinoline underneath - no crinoline is provided, but these can be bought online quite easily. It is decorated with three large felt cloth roses that are studded with rhinestones. The roses are connected by black felt “stems” are leaves that are decorated with red beads and black beads and sequins. The skirt does up with a metal zipper at the back. The waistband should fasten with hooks and eyes at the back, but these are missing, however, easy to replace.

Color: Gray with black and red accents

Material: Felt wool

Sizing: No size is indicated, but it would fit small size - in any case, please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Waist: 23”-24” around

Hips: Full

Overall length: 30 1/2"

Bottom flare:  124” around

The sweater is marked as a size 34.  It would fit proportionate to the skirt.

Condition: It is in very good vintage condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains, odors or stains.  As mentioned, hooks and eyes need to be added to the waistband.  This was well cared for over the years.  Any color variation shown in the photos is due to lighting, angle and reflection.

This is a perfect 50s period felt circle skirt - great outfit for the sock hop.
