Vintage Chanel Suit in Ivory Brocade - Spring 2001

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a fabulous ivory / off white brocade fabric suit made in France by Chanel Paris.  The suit has a wide squared collar, a string of pearls closure at the neckline that is printed with ‘Chanel’, a slash pocket at either side that closes with a zipper with a pearl pull and cuffs that do up with a pearl button.  The jacket does up with a metal zipper down the front with a pearl pull.  The shoulders are slightly padded.  There is the signature gold chain along the interior hemline of the jacket.  There is a slanted double vent at the back of the jacket.  The brocade has a woven floral pattern throughout - the center of some of the flowers have the Chanel double C logo incorporated into it.  The silk lining is woven with the Chanel logo.  The pearl pulls are printed with the double C Chanel logo and there is a Chanel logo engraved on the mother of pearl oval that is affixed to the left side of the waistline of the skirt.  There originally was a blouse with this suit, but it is no longer with it.
