Vintage 70s Carlos Falchi Shoulder Bag Black Leather Purse

This is an authentic vintage Carlos Falchi leather purse or shoulder bag made of textured black leather.  This crossbody purse is made in a vertically rectangular shape with snap down over flap.  It has a leather shoulder strap that measures 20” in height - the original owner knotted it to shorten the length, but you can just undo the knot if you need a bit more length.  It has an open interior made of blue leather.  The front of the flap is embossed with Carlos Falchi amidst an alligator, a caiman, a python and some sort of mythical winged beast.  The embossed area is framed with blue stitching.

Sizing:  6” by 7 1/2” with an expanded depth of 1 5/8” at the bottom

Condition: This Carlos Falchi shoulder bag is in very clean condition with no signs of wear.

Carlos Falchi started business during the 1970s by making custom hand crafted clothing for Patti Smith, Miles Davis, Tina Turner and Mick Jagger.  He turned his attention to making purses and over the years his customers have included Jackie Onassis, Sharon Stone, Cate Blanchett, Mary J. Blige and Tiny Fey.  He is known for using exotic skins including python, alligator and caiman, hence the animals pictured on the flap.
