Antique 1910s Nippon Coralene Vase – Kinran Japan Porcelain
$225.00
Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing
This antique Nippon coralene vase from Japan dates to the 1910–1921 period. The vase features a delicate ombré ground of pastel green and lavender, adorned with raised glass beading (coralene) that forms a lush design of blooming roses, highlighted with hand-applied gold enamel outlining.
The underside is marked "Kinran Patent No. 16137 Japan", documented as a Nippon era backstamp.
This Nippon coralene vase measures 6 1/2” in height with a 5” maximum diameter. The decoration is vibrant and intact, and it displays beautifully from the front. A glue repair is present on the base, not visible during upright frontal display (see last three close-up photos).
Despite the repair, which could be repaired by a ceramics repair service, this Nippon coralene vase is a really beautiful piece with a good amount of coralene and with very pretty colours - sold “as is” at a reduced price due to the damage, which really doesn’t interfere with the display of this Nippon coralene vase from the front…..
