This is a lovely demi-parure, consisting of earrings and brooch, unsigned, but attributed to quality jeweller Marcel Boucher (1898-1964).

Boucher had his early training at Cartier in Paris, and then in New York.  He started his costume jewelry business in 1937.  When Dior introduced his “New Look” fashion in 1947, Boucher began to design elegant parures to match the return to elegance during the late 40s and through to the 60s.

This brooch, as mentioned, is unsigned, but numbered on the backside with the number 4079, in keeping with the design inventory numbers used by Boucher.  The earrings are stamped 4080.  The brooch is made in a twisted “leaf” form with rectangular green and clear rhinestones set in a silver toned metal.  The earrings are made in a similar leaf form.  The brooch measures 3 1/8” in length while the earrings measure 1 1/8” in length.   The earrings have ear pads affixed to the clips that you probably will want to remove.  All three pieces in very good condition with no wear, missing stones or repairs - this is a very nicely preserved demi of excellent quality.

This is a very nice set - pretty colours, lovely design!
