From the 50s here's a spectacular rhinestone bib necklace made by Marvella of New York City. Marvella was a brand that belonged to Sol E. Weinreich, who started his jewelry business in 1906. Weinreich produced a number of brands, with Marvella being amongst the first, used from 1911 onwards.

This bib is extremely striking with light pink, amber, light blue, deep pink, dark blue and green rhinestones prong set in a brass setting along with cabochon glass stones, some foil infused, others solid or swirled in gorgeous colors.

The necklace has a width of 2 inches and measures 26 inches along the outside edge and 15 inches along the inside edge. It's in very good condition with no replaced rhinestones, but there are about 4 places where there is evidence of a soldered repair (see last close-up photos), expertly done, and not affecting the wearing and display of this incredible piece.

This is an exceptional bib necklace, a most striking piece.
