Vintage 1950s Glitter Shoes - Suede Peep Toe - 4 Inch Heel - Adrian Original - VFG

Here is a fun pair of early 1950s glitter party shoes.  The rest of the shoe is black suede with a grosgrain banding in between the insole and sole of the shoe. These are stamped with an Adrian Original on the right insole.    They have heel and toe plate metal protectors added to the soles.

I have wondered if these had anything to do with the designer Adrian Adolph Goldberg who was a famous designer and costume designer at MGM.  He designed the ruby slippers for the Wizard of Oz.  Unfortunately, I cannot find any direct information that there was ever a shoe line put out by him, so these were likely made by some manufacturer who decided to capitalize on his name.

There is no size indicated on either shoe, so please rely on the following measurements for size.

Toe to heel inside is 10 1/4 inches

Ball of foot inside width 3 1/4 inches

Ball of foot outside width 3 1/2 inches

Heel inside top width 1 1/2 inches

Heel height 4 inches

These are in very good condition with just some minor wear to soles.
