This is a wonderful and large modernist necklace featuring an enamel pendant on a chain rope.  It was made by Quebec jewelry artisans Micheline de Passille and Yves Sylvestre.  The modernist necklace pendant is made of chromed metal, probably either copper or brass.  The pendant is quite large and reminds me of the type of design usually associated with Lanvin.

The back of the modernist necklace pendant is stamped “de Passille Sylvestre”.  This is an earlier mark, not the earliest, dating the piece, I believe, to the late 1960s or early 1970s.  The pendant is fairly large, measuring 2 1/4” square, exclusive of its top “loop” - the chain has a length of 13 1/2”, doubled out straight.  It is in very good condition with a few tiny indent type scratches to the chrome, really quite minor.

Quebec produced some very good jewelry artisans during the 60s and 70s, with de Passille and Sylvestre considered amongst the best.....this is a large and impressive modernist necklace pendant, very classy!
