This is an authentic WW2 overcoat worn by a Canadian soldier of the Royal Montreal Regiment.  British and Canadian soldiers called this a greatcoat - it is made of heavyweight wool.  There are 6 brass buttons arranged in a double breasted fashion on the front plus a button under either collar so that the neck could be closed - the neck bridge is still present, stored on the inside of the coat.  The overcoat is lined on the upper back only.  The back has a belt with three buttons and there is a button on the shoulders on either side of the neck securing the epaulettes.  This WW2 overcoat has the Workman Uniform label on it and the pocket is stamped “Workman Uniform Co. Ltd Montreal (1941) 9 5” - 11” / 40 - 42”.

Sizing: As stated on the pocket, but please rely on the following measurements for fit (please take the thickness of the wool and the style of the WW2 overcoat into consideration):

Shoulders: 19” across shoulder seam-to-seam

Sleeves: 28” from shoulder seam, 37 1/2” from the mid neck seam

Sleeve Inseam: 19 1/2” long

Chest: 46” around

Waist: 42” around

Hips:  48” around

Overall length: 50", measured flat

Condition: The only signs of wear to this WW2 overcoat are to the buttonholes, very minor and a missing button at the bottom kick pleat.  Otherwise, this coat is very clean and without wear.

This is a nice collectible RMR WW2 overcoat in great condition!
