This is an authentic vintage silk twill tie made in Italy by Salvatore Ferragamo.  The tie features a pattern consisting of a triremes, a galley ship propelled by rowing, commonly used in the Mediterranean by the Greeks, Romans and Phoenicians.  The ships are in colours of blue, light green and white, outlined in black, against a muted red background.  The Ferragamo name is printed in a bar at the small end of the tie.  It measures  58 1/2” in length and has a width of 3 1/4” at its widest.  The tie is clean and is in very good condition with no staining or wear.  This is a wonderful Ferragamo tie with a wonderful ancient ship pattern - great quality!
