This is a vintage mens ski jacket designed in Canada under the Avalanche label.  Avalanche was founded in 1986 and is the official supplier to the Canadian Ski Patrol as well as to CBC Radio Canada.  This ski jacket is embroidered with the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) solid colour gem logo, in use from 1990.  It most likely belonged to the reporter responsible for the ski report in Canada.  It is very well designed with a lot of features handy for skiing and snow conditions.  It has a velcro attached hood, velcro belts at the cuffs and the collar does up to cover the neck if desired (see photos).  There are zippered pockets on the sleeves, chest, sides and interior.   It is not interlined, so probably meant to be worn with a sweater underneath.

Label:  Designed and developed in Canada since 1986 Avalanche Ski Wear and Snow Wear Official Supplier Canadian Ski Patrol.

Content label:  None.  The shell is a moisture repellent type fabric and the interior has a mesh lining.

Sizing: No size is indicated on this ski jacket and although this should fit a size 42R (regular), maybe more of a 40 if you want to wear a bulky sweater underneath,  please note the following measurements for fit, taking the style of this ski jacket into account:

Shoulders:  20” from shoulder seam to shoulder seam

Sleeves: 28” from the shoulder seam, including the cuff extension

Sleeve Inseam:  16”

Chest: 48” around, taken under the arms

Waist:  46” around

Length:  27”

Condition:  This mens ski jacket is in very clean condition with no pronounced wear, tear or staining - it looks to have seen little use.

This is great looking mens ski jacket - fun with the CBC logos!
