This is a superior quality (Qualita Superiore) mens hat made in a fedora style by Borsalino of Italy.  The hat has a plush finish, not long haired, but definitely with a high nappe.  It is made in a very attractive medium grey colour.  I believe that this hat dates to the 1970s, given its style, but it might date to the late 60s.  The hat has a stitched brim and the crown has a matching felt decoration around its base.  The hat is stamped on the upper interior with “Qualita Superiore Borsalino Alessandria Italia Marca Depositata”.  The retailer’s name “Koury Montreal” is gold stamped on the sweatband - Koury was founded during the 1920s and is still in business today.  The leather sweatband is also gold stamped “Boraslino Made in Italy Original House Founded in 1857”.  The cloth label states a size 7 1/8.  It measures 22 1/4” around the sweatband and 6 1/2” by 7 7/8” across the opening.  The brim measures 2” in width and the crown has a height of 4 5/8”.  It is in very good condition with no wear, tear or signs of much use - it is ready to wear.  This is a super quality hat by Borsalino, nice color, easy to wear style.......
