Vintage Blouse Floral Cotton Voile Frank Oujezdsky Haute Couture Montreal 1960s

$65.00

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a very nice quality blouse made by Montreal couturier Frank Oujezdsky.  Oujesdsky catered to Montreal socialites and is also noted for having made dresses for Gerda Munsinger, the central character in a Canadian spy and sex scandal involving government ministers during the early 1960s.

This blouse dates to the 1960s and is made in a very pretty pink and grey floral pattern printed white cotton voile.  It has padded shoulders and a high, empire style, waist.  The bodice is gathered in tuck pleats down both the front and back, and the blouse has a ruffled collar and short sleeves, full cut with gathered tucks at the shoulder seam.  It does up with matching covered buttons down the front and ties at the neck.

Sizing:

This will fit a medium size, but please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Shoulders:  14” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Bust:  36” around

Waist:  31” around

Length:  24”, measured flat

Condition:  This is in very good condition with no wear, tear, staining or odor, but the bottom button is missing - this really doesn’t affect anything as the blouse should be tucked in, and a replacement button can be plain, although it isn’t even really necessary.  Otherwise, this blouse looks to have seen little use and was well cared for over the years.

This is a beautifully made blouse - quality fabric, pretty floral print!
