Vintage Aquascutum Raincoat Wool Gabardine England Size XL

This is a wonderful vintage Aquascutum raincoat made in England.  This vintage Aquascutum raincoat is made of 100% pure wool gabardine and has a 100% rayon viscose navy blue lining that is woven with “Aquascutum of London” throughout.  It has nice simple lines with none of the typical flaps and straps seen on a trench coat.  The collar can be worn up to protect the neck.  The sleeves have a single button tab belt at the cuff.  It is cut with raglan sleeves and the buttons down the front, except for the neck, are hidden by use of a double flap.  It has a slit pocket at either side and a 17” kick pleat at the back.  The fabric on this vintage Aquascutum raincoat has been “showerproofed” so has a smoother feel than traditional gabardine.

Color: either black or so deep a blue as to appear black

Sizing: Size M56 is indicated on a label, and although this is an English sizing that should be equivalent to a US size 46, please rely on the following measurements for fit of this vintage Aquascutum raincoat:

Shoulders:  22” across approximate (difficult to measure due to raglan sleeve cut)

Sleeves:  27” long approximate (from estimated shoulder) / 38” from the mid-neck

Sleeve Inseam:  19”

Chest: 52” around

Waist: 55” around 

Hips: 56” around, meant to hang loosely

Length: 49”, taken at the back from the neck seam

Condition: This vintage Aquascutum raincoat is in excellent condition with no wear, tear, soiling, stains or odour - this was well cared for over the years and looks to have seen little use.
