Vintage 90s Mariot Chanet Paris Designer Dress Robe

$275.00

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a vintage 90s era designer dress made by the innovative Paris fashion house of Mariot Chanet.  Mariot Chanet was founded 1987 by Michele Meunier and Olivier Chatenet and closed its doors in 1997.  Both founders had experience in the Paris fashion world prior to their founding of Mariot Chanet, working a Chanel, Comme des Garcons, Marithe and Francois Girbaud, Azzedine Alaia and Thierry Mugler.  Even Hermes asked them to help with their pret-a-porter line.

This designer dress has a decidedly ecclesiastical look to it, reminiscent of a priest’s cassock.  It closes with eight covered buttons down the front and with a round hook closure at the neck.  The sleeves are cut to be loose with a dropped shoulder and the garment itself falls in drapes and has a wonderful flow to it.  There is a pocket built into either side and the piece is unlined

Label: Mariot Chanet Paris

Material: Gabardine with good weight and fall, unsure of the fabric content, but most likely wool or a wool blend

Sizing: Size S for small is indicated on this designer dress but please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the garment into account:
