Vintage 80s Hugo Boss Sport Coat Scottish Wool Jacket Size L

This is a vintage 80s Hugo Boss sport coat or jacket marketed as part of the Boss 20 line.  The jacket is made with wool produced at the Heather Mills of Selkirk, Scotland.  This Hugo Boss jacket is made in a classic 80s style with wide padded shoulders and a straight, longer silhouette.  It has medium width notched lapels, a two button closure, two buttons at the cuffs, a jetted pocket at either side, pocket at the left chest and no vent at the back.  The jacket is lined in a two toned rayon viscose fabric.  There are two inner pockets.  The fabric is woven is checked pattern in tones of green, grey and black.   

Brand label: Boss 20 Hugo Boss 

Fabric manufacturer label:  Fabric by Heather Mills Scotland.  Heather Mills was established in 1892 (mill dating to 1868) and closed its doors in 2009.  As with most Scottish mills, they produced beautiful quality wool

Manufacturer’s label:  States Made in Germany, and the presence of the CA 07415 refers to the Canadian Textile Identifier for Siga International of Toronto, who distributed Hugo Boss in Canada from 1985 until 1991.

Sizing: There is no size label and although this should fit a US size 42/44, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the style of this jacket into account:

Shoulders:  22” across, from one shoulder/sleeve seam to the other shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves:  25” from the shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam:  16”

Chest: 48” around 

Waist: 44” around

Length: 31”, measured flat

Condition:  This Hugo Boss jacket is in very clean condition with no signs of wear, tear, stains or odours - this looks to have seen little use.  The fabric has a beautiful woollen finish to it.
