Vintage 70s Ski Sweater Blue Geometric Knit Mens Size L

This is a beautiful quality vintage ski sweater made in Hong Kong for Holt Renfrew. Due to trade embargoes placed on the People’s Republic of China by the international community, Hong Kong began to develop its garment trade during the 1950s, and due to limitations placed on export to the UK in 1959, export markets were established in North America.  This is why so many excellent quality garments dating to the 1960s and 70s are found locally and why American companies began to outsource manufacture to Hong Kong. Holt Renfrew is a Canadian department store that sells only designer branded fashion and luxury goods as well as high quality private label. 

This ski sweater dates to the 1970s and is made of 100% pure virgin merino wool in a pullover style.  It is made with dropped shoulder sleeves and has a crew neckline.  The size label on this ski sweater reads “L”, and although it should be a size large, please note the following measurements for fit, noting the cut of the ski sweater and that are measurements are for unstretched fabric:

Sleeves: 35 1/2” long from the mid neck to the cuff edge

Sleeve Inseam: 24” long

Chest: 43” around, taken under the arms, 21 1/2” across pit-to-pit

Bottom:  36” around, unstretched

Overall length: 27” measured flat at the back

Condition:  This sweater is in very good condition with no pronounced wear or tear, staining or odour.  This ski sweater is clean and ready for use.   This is a very nice vintage ski sweater - great blue tonal palette, very modern looking, easy to wear today!
