Vintage 1970s Jaeger Overcoat 100% British Cashmere Navy Blue Mens Coat Size 38
Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing
This is a 1970s era pre-owned 100% cashmere navy blue overcoat made in Great Britain by Jaeger. The fabric is very soft, in a good thickness and of very nice quality. The coat is made in a classic fitted style with higher set wide notched lapels, four button closure hidden by an overflap, squared shoulders, flapped side pockets and 18 1/2” kick pleat. The coat is fully lined in blue satin viscose rayon. The colour is very deep, almost black, but definitely blue.
Sizing: The size label states “to fit chest 97cm/38ins long fitting”, but please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric and the cut of the garment into consideration):
Shoulders: 19” across shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam
Sleeves: 25 1/2” from shoulder/sleeve seam
Sleeve Inseam: 17” long
Chest: 44” around, taken under the arms
Overall length: 43", measured flat
Condition: Although pre-owned, this coat is in very good condition with no pronounced wear (some surface “pebbling”, just the nature of the fabric) or tear. It is very clean and has been well stored.
This is a great coat - 100% cashmere coats of this quality are very expensive to buy today, so this is a good opportunity to own a high quality overcoat!
