Vintage 1970s Disco Dress with Sequin Trim Size L

This is a vintage 1970s disco dress made by Nu-Mode of Toronto.  Nu-Mode was founded in 1950 and closed its doors in 2019.  This 1970s disco dress is made with a stretchy 100% polyester jersey fabric and has multicoloured sequins around its waist and cuffs.  It has a fold over bodice with a V shaped neckline, long full cut sleeves, an elasticized waistline and cuffs and an ankle length.  It closes with a nylon zipper at the back and is unlined.  It is cut so that the skirt falls in drapes, allowing for movement.

Sizing: Size 13 is indicated, and although this 1970s disco dress should fit a large size,  please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the stretch of the fabric into account:

Shoulders: 14 1/2” across, seam-to-seam 

Sleeves: 25” from the shoulder seam

Sleeve inseam: 18”

Bust: 36” around, unstretched, stretches out to 38”

Waist: 24” unstretched, stretches out to 34” max.

Hips: 40”, but should fall loosely

Overall length: 59", measured flat at the back from the neck seam

Condition: This 1970s disco dress is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, staining or odour.    

This is an easy to wear 1970s disco dress - the stretch fabric is easy to care for and the disco styling from the 1970s has just the right amount of glitter, understated, but fun and classy!
