Vintage 1970s Christian Dior Tricots Blouse with CD Logo Cotton Knit NWOT Size S

This is an unused knit cotton blouse made in Italy under the Christian Dior Tricots label, dating to the early 70s.  This came from a lot of old store stock from the 1960s and 70s that I acquired about five years ago, some with tags and some without - included in the lot were a number of pieces by Christian Dior, but also other French fashion houses, all of it unused.  This blouse is made in a greyish blue colour woven with a stylized “CD” throughout.  There is a button-down pocket at either side of the chest.  The blouse is made in a shirt style with pointy collar, long sleeves and with two-button closure barrel cuffs.  It has a seven button closure and is tailored to accentuate the waist. 

Label: Christian Dior Paris Tricots. In addition, there is a “Made in Italy” label.

Fabric:  The material label reads 100% cotton

Sizing: Size 36 is indicated on the size label which is supposed to be equivalent to a US size 6, and although this should fit a small size, please rely on the following measurements for fit, noting that there is some stretch to the knit:

Neck:  14 1/2”

Shoulders:  14” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam, but the fabric has a bit of stretch

Sleeves: 25” from the shoulder/sleeve seam 

Sleeve inseam: 19 1/2”

Bust:  33”-34”

Waist: 26”-28””

Length: 24”, measured flat

Condition:  In excellent, unused condition - there is a small pink mark under the label, but this is really nothing.  This blouse has been well stored over the years.  

This is a wonderful vintage Dior blouse - early use of the logo to identify the brand…..
