Vintage 1960s Tuxedo Black Silk Custom Tailored Size S

This is a vintage 1960s tuxedo consisting of a jacket and matching pants.  The jacket to this vintage 1960s tuxedo is made with padded shoulders, a single linked button closure, shawl lapels, flapped side pockets, chest pocket and three button cuffs - the shawl lapels and buttons are all covered in black satin and the pockets are trimmed in black satin.  There is a satin stripe down either leg of the pants.  The jacket is fully lined in black satin viscose.  The pants have a pleated front, a hook and eye closure, nylon zipper fly, a pocket built into either side and two back pockets.  The longer silhouette of the jacket and the full leg of the pants would indicate that this vintage 1960s tuxedo dates to the late 1960s.

Fabric:  No fabric label as this is custom tailored, but the presence of slubs indicates raw silk or a silk blend

Sizing: There is no size label as it was custom tailored, and although this should fit a small size long, please rely on the following measurements for fit of this vintage 1960s tuxedo, taken from the exterior:

Shoulders: 17” across shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 25” from shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam: 18” long

Chest: 37” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 34”

Overall length: 31“, measured flat

Overall length: 42“ 

Condition:  This vintage 1960s tuxedo is in very good condition - no pronounced wear, tear, staining or odour.
