Vintage 1960s Ladies Shoes Bally Wien Victorian Revival 8.5 US

Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing

This is a quality pair of vintage 1960s (pre 1966) ladies shoes that were made in Austria for Bally.  These vintage 1960s ladies shoes are made of brown suede leather with a pointed toe box and Louis heel.  The heel measures 2 1/2” in height.  The insole of each shoe is gold stamped “Bally Wien (Vienna) Miss. B.”.  They are also stamped “Ponte® Gelenk Pat. Ang.”, which is a German patented arch support.  The shoes are made in a Victorian revival style, popular during the 1960s, with buttons down the front of the shoe.  These vintage 1960s ladies shoes are marked as a size 6 1/2/5, but this is a vintage sizing that may be Austrian in nature or specific to Bally  -  the insoles measure 10 1/2” in length from the tip of the toe to the back of the insole and the soles measure 3 1/8” in width at the widest, so I think that these should fit a size 8.5 US... but please verify another pair of pointy vintage 1960s ladies shoes that you might already own.  I believe that the soles are man made.

These vintage 1960s ladies shoes are in very good condition - the uppers demonstrate no pronounced marking, the insoles are clean with little wear and the soles demonstrate light use.  The heels are missing their rubber heel tip, but this is an inexpensive repair by a cobbler.

This is a very nice quality pair of vintage 1960s ladies shoes in nice condition and in a large size for vintage shoes!
