This is a 1950s evening clutch made of black beaded peau de soie. The interior of this 1950s evening clutch is gold stamped Spulcioni Firenze. The interior is lined in grey fabric and has a pocket built onto either side, the wider side pocket having a smaller pocket built onto it. The purse, closed, measures 11 1/2” in width across its top and 13 3/4” across its bottom and has a height of 6 1/4”. It closes with a silk covered metal bar clasp. It is in very good condition except for a tiny wear spot exposing the frame at each of the top corners (see last close-up photo), fairly minor. In addition, the clasp is a little difficult to snap closed, but it does work. Despite the wear, this is a quality Italian 1950s evening clutch - very classy!
