This is a wonderful 1940s straw platter hat that is embroidered with coloured straw flowers on one side.  This platter hat is affixed to the head with a flap built into the underside that is secured to the head with red satin ribbon ties.  It should fit a range of sizes.   It is in very good condition with no wear, tear or soiling, looks like it saw little if any use.  The ribbon however could be changed as there is some fraying, still usable as is.
