Vintage 1940s Skirt Suit Blue Wool Gabardine Size Medium 28”
$185.00
Brand Poppy's Vintage Clothing
This is a vintage 1940s skirt suit made of blue wool gabardine, probably dating to the late 1940s, possibly early 50s. The jacket of this vintage 1940s skirt suit has padded, squared shoulders typical of the 1940s, squared collar with high set lapels when the top button is undone, and a six button closure when the top button is done up. It has a longer silhouette with an accented waistline. The sleeves are made in a full length with turned cuffs and there is a semi-circular pocket at either lower side. The skirt is fully pleated and has a below-the-knee length, flares to the hemline, and does up with a metal zipper at the left side and with a button at the waist. The jacket is lined and the skirt is unlined..
Label: None, but I have seen an identical suit with a Gilbert label in it
Colour: Purply navy blue, very attractive tone.
