This is an authentic vintage 1920s tie featuring a paisley pattern.  The fabric is quite interesting - if you look at the backside, it is highly reflective and looks metallic in a gold tone, although there is no evidence of metallic on the front, although it is somewhat shiny.  The pattern is quite detailed with the white stitching being quite intricate - in fact, all of the stitching is quite fine.  The ends are unlined, and the overlap on the wide end is cut in an unusual angle, I don’t know if you can see this in the last close-up photo.  There is no tie loop or label, but this seems to be common during the 1920s for ties.  The tie measures 46” in length and has a width of 3 1/8” at its widest.  It is in very good condition, very clean with no stains or wear and ready to use. This is a true 1920s example - I’ve seen others being offered as 1920s ties, but they are usually later pieces….great acquisition for the collector!
