This is a pair of early 60s era Acme cowboy boots that were made for children.  They come with their original box, which reads “Genuine Western Cowboy Boots”.  There is also a label that reads “Distributed in Canada by Kodiak To Re-order Write, Wire or Phone Greb Shoes Limited Kitchener, Ont. - Winnipeg, Man. Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta”.  Greb became distributors of Acme Cowboy boots around 1963 - Acme cowboy boots were made in Clarksville, Teen.  They are made in black leather with orange and white insetting and green, white and orange stitching.  The box is stamped “710 Black 7 1/2 D”.  The soles measure 2 1/4” in width between the sew lines and 6 1/2” from the front sew line to the back of the heel.  The insoles measure about 6 1/2” in length.  The top of the boot measures 8 1/2” around.  The boots are in very good used condition with a bit of scuffing to the toe, but a bit of black polish will take care of this.  The soles and uppers are very clean.  During the 1940s, until the 1980s, Acme cowboy boots had the largest market share in the world. This is the cutest pair of boots - wonderful display pieces with the original box!
