The piece was made using a 3 part mould.  It is made of light green semi-opaque glass that darkens and becomes more clear lower down the vase.  The diamond points also become more white as they contrast against the darker colour at the bottom whereas at the upper part they look light green, matching the background colour.  When looking at the glass with a light behind it, one can see the gold content in the glass.  The bottom is rayed - Ive seen this vase primarily with a smooth bottom, so this seems a little unusual.  There is a mark in the centre that appears to be the underlined N, but it is poorly stamped.  The vase measures 11 in height.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or wear - there is a tiny indent next to the mould seam, but this is original to the manufacture and really nothing. The vase is made in a tall curved slender form, measuring 15.5 in height.  It is made in green, clear and purple glass, vertically arranged with the clear glass separating the green and purple - the base is clear (see close-up photo).  It is hand polished on its underside, a sign that it is an older hand blown piece.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or wear. The penguins are quite wonderfully depicted, appearing quite animated and squawking at one another.  They are rendered with what looks like stencilled white spray with orangey toned enamel painted beaks and white enamel painted eyes - the dark glass background provides context.   The vase is trimmed with two gold deposit rings and the underside is hand polished.  It measures 10 1\/8 in height and has a diameter of about 7 at its widest.  The glass has a wall thickness of 1\/2 and the vase weighs 7 1\/2 lbs. This cross dates to circa 1935, and demonstrates the influence of the art deco movement in its form.  It is made of a combination of frosted and clear glass - the clarity of the glass is indicative of the quality of glass that Schlevogt produced during the era.  The Ingrid line was named in honour of Henry Schlevogts wife, Ingrid, who died during childbirth.  Ingrid was also the daughter of Heinrich Hoffman, a legendary Czech art deco designer, who is purported to have designed much of the Ingrid collection.  This piece would have originally had a foil Ingrid label affixed to the front base, but it has disappeared after all of these many years.  The piece was acquired from the estate of a long deceased priest who was a seminary teacher starting early in the 20th century.  The piece depicts Jesus on the cross and is made in a combination of frosted and clear glass.  The glass is of exceptional clarity and the detail in the piece belies the craftsmanship required to make this.  It measures 8 3\/4 in height and 4 1\/4 in width and weighs 1 lb and 2 oz. The glass is quite thick with a 1\/4 wall at the top (see photos) and is heavy for its size, weighing 1 lb, yet still has nice clarity.  The underside is uncut and you can see a polished pontil mark.  The glass is in very good condition with an air bubble trapped in the wall and a bit of roughness around the interior top edge.  There is a bit of clouding to the interior bottom, but this could be polished away.  The metal screw-on cap, however, is in rough condition.  It appears to be made with lead content and whatever silver plating was there is mostly gone - also the bottom edge of the cap has small chips to it and there is some corrosion. After completing his BFA and MA, he moved to Sweden to study at Orrefors Glass School, then worked at Boda Glass for a year before moving back to the US to pursue an MFA in glass at the Rochester Institute of Technology.  I think that this vase may be an earlier piece as the similarities to Swedish glass are present including the optically thick quality of the glass as well as the form of the vase.  It is made of purple coloured glass with a blue swath of colour down one side of the vase.  The underside is etch signed simply with Leon Applebaum.  The vase measures 6 1\/2 in height and about 5 3\/4 in width and 3 5\/8 in depth across its top.  It weighs a little over 3 lbs.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or wear. Phoenix produced Consolidateds Martele designs between 1933 and 1936 and then returned the molds to Consolidated.  They produced a pattern called Wild Rose, which was identical to Consolidateds Dogwood.   However, Phoenix generally produced contrasting colours to the pattern from the background - I dont know if Consolidated produced single colour vases.  In the late 60s Davis Lynch glass borrowed some molds from Phoenix and produced single colour versions of those molds and then in 1970 Anchor Hocking acquired Phoenix and also produced single colour versions until 1976.  Davis Lynch only produced a few hundred vases, so one might think that this vase was made by Anchor Hocking.  What is puzzling is that there are black specks present in the glass here and there, a quality defect that one wouldnt expect from Anchor Hocking.  So the vase is a bit of a mystery.  One thing is certain - this still has a wonderful art deco look to it.  The vase is made in a somewhat glossy white semi-opaque glass, very much like milk glass. The creamer measures 4 in height and has a diameter of 3 1\/4 while the sugar bowl has a height of 5 3\/4 to the top of the lids finial and has a diameter of 4.  The set weighs 1 lb and 11 oz.\u003cbr\u003e\nReverse ruby staining in this pattern appears to be quite hard to come by, so the light damage to the lid should be tolerated. The glass is very clear despite being thick, typical of early Heisey quality - the edge of each plate measures 3\/8 in thickness.  Each plate has a diameter of 8 1\/2 and weighs 1 lb and 10 oz., very heavy for its size.  Each is cut on the underside with the Heisey rays and has a raised H within a diamond mark. Two of the plates are in perfect condition with no noted scratches while the other ten have minor scratching - really nothing - and one of the plates has a fleabite, again, really minor, while another has either a scratch or straw mark through the rays.  Otherwise, no chips, cracks or pronounced wear - these have been very well preserved.  Priscilla was introduced in 1905, and these are obviously very old due to their thickness and quality.
