This is a very large vintage mens wool coat made in Italy by Moschino Milan.  The fabric is a tightly woven twill wool in a black and white “salt and pepper” pattern, which bestows an overall appearance of a grey colour.  It is made in a trench style with raglan sleeves, a small collar that can be worn down or up for extra protection, button down vertical slanted side pockets and button down belts at the cuffs.  It closes with a metal zipper down the front, although the pull tab is to the left rather than the right as is customary with mens garments - I’ve seen this before on Italian menswear.   There are also zipper closures at the cuffs. The coat has a 22” back vent/kick pleat with a button down tab.  The coat is fully lined in a grey rayon satin.

Label: Moschino Milano with a red heart.  Moschino was founded in 1983, and I believe that this is an older label, probably dating to the 1980s - I haven’t been able to find another similar label.  There are no content labels or other labels of any type.

Sizing: This is an extra large long size, or maybe even an XXL, but please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the thickness of the fabric into account (measure either a similar coat that you own or compare to your body measurements, consider the style of this coat, and allow for the use of a jacket, if you plan to wear one):

Shoulders:  20” across, estimated due to raglan sleeve

Sleeves:  34 1/2” from the neck/collar seam

Sleeve Inseam:  17”

Chest: 52” around

Waist: 54” around

Hips:  56” around

Length: 50 1/2”, measured flat

Condition: It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odors - in very nice shape.  This coat looks to have seen little use and was well stored and cared for over the years.

Nice quality fabric and interesting Italian styling…..Moschino design is very collectible - great coat if it fits!
