This is a fabulous vintage “plissé” silk scarf featuring an art nouveau influenced illustration of a woman wearing a large feathered headdress.  The scarf is signed at the lower right with “Louis Feraud Paris”  The edge is hand rolled to the front, typical of French manufacture.  It measures 33” by 34”.  I believe that the scarf dates to the 1960s - possibly early 70s, but I do think that it is a 60s piece. 

Condition:  It is in very good condition with the exception of a few very tiny silk separations, noticeable only when inspected with a strong light behind the scarf, and mentioned only in the interest of full disclosure.  Also, there is three tiny reddish marks, probably make-up or lipstick (see last two close-up photos) - a good dry cleaner should be able to get rid of these, but they are really insignificant in any case.

This is a striking scarf - the illustration is really beautiful and would make a great display piece!
