This is a wonderful hat made in England for Christian Dior Chapeaux.  The hat is made of excellent quality ochre fur felt in a quasi-pillbox form, what might be called a “towering” pillbox.  The exterior has a velour finish, a recessed crown, a grosgrain “point” at the center of the crown, and and grosgrain ribbon across the front.  The opening measures 21” around, but this is supposed to fit on the top of the head, so this should fit a range of sizes small to medium.  The hat measures about 7 1/2” by 8” and has a height of about 4” at the front and 3” at the back.  It is in very good condition with no wear, tear or soiling - this has been very well cared for over the years.

 

This is a wonderful Christian Dior design hat.....easy to wear!
