This is a luxurious pre-owned 100% pure cashmere coat dating most likely to the 1970s, made in England and sold at Simpsons, which was a Canadian department store with roots dating back to 1858.  Simpsons was spelled Simpson’s until 1973 at which time the apostrophe was dropped from the name.  They ceased operations in 1989.

The fabric is especially soft and of exceptional quality.  It is made in a camel/ochre colour.  The coat is made in a classic style with higher set notched lapels, chest pocket, three button breasted closure, padded shoulders, flapped flapped side pockets, three button cuffs and a 18 1/2” kick vent.  The coat is fully lined in brown satin rayon.

Sizing: There is no size label, and although this should fit a large to extra large size (US 44-46, more likely 46), please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric and the cut of the garment into consideration, including the sleeve length, as well as if you are intending on wearing a jacket underneath):

Shoulders: 20” across shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 27” from shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam: 17 1/2” long

Chest: 50” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 48”

Overall length: 46", measured flat

Condition:  Although pre-owned, this coat is in very good condition - it’s obvious that it saw very little use.  It is very clean and has a nice finish, just a couple of surface nibbles to one of the sleeves, not even noticeable unless closely inspecting (see last close-up photo).

This is a great coat, featuring English tailoring - pure cashmere coats like this now cost a small fortune, if you can even find this type of quality, so this is a great opportunity to own one at a fraction of the original price.
