This is a pair of vintage denim coveralls or overalls that were made by the Montreal company Baron Manufacturing using Wabasso denim.  Wabasso, founded in 1907, was Canada’s only producer of denim for many years.  They are difficult to date precisely, but I believe that they date to the 1950s, but  maybe earlier.  The label reads “Supreme Sanforized Wabasso Denim BMC Montreal Overalls Jeans Work Clothes Baron Mfg. Company Montreal”.  They have attached striped suspenders, two chest pockets, one snap down, two side pockets and two large back patch pockets.  There is a brass Lightning zipper down the front.

Condition:  No pronounced wear but some gold coloured paint spots and some light toned spotting at the knees, to be expected on a used pair of overalls that were probably used for painting.  Nothing major, just enough to prove that these were used.

Sizing: No size is indicated but these should fit a range of medium to large sizes, but please rely on the following measurements for fit, comparing them to another pair of overalls that you may own or your body measurements, allowing some room for fit:

Chest: 47” around, taken under the arm openings

Hips: 49” around

Overall length: 60“ from the top of the strap to the leg cuff - the straps are adjustable, however, so that would affect length

Leg inseam:  24”

This is a nice pair of vintage denim overalls - good quality, Canadian brand that’s not common, great addition to a collection!
