This is a wonderful early 70s suede leather mens sports jacket designed by Pierre Cardin.  The jacket has the Pierre Cardin logo embroidered onto the chest pocket.  It is made with wide lapels and has a large patch pocket at either side.  It has a two button closure and four buttons at the cuffs.  The jacket is lined with rayon that is printed with Pierre Cardin.  The leather is of very good quality and has some “stiffness” to it so as to keep its sports jacket shape.

Label: Piere Cardin Paris Montreal

Care label: Suede - Clean Only By Leather & Suede Specialist CA 00289.  The CA number belongs to the Aljac Sportswear Limited company of Montreal, which would have manufactured this jacket under license to Pierre Cardin.

Sizing: Size 42 is indicated, but this is a vintage size - usually modern sizes are about 3”-4” less than chest size, so this may be more like a modern size 38 to 40.  Please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the suede leather into consideration, the style of the jacket, and maybe measure a similar jacket that you may own):

Shoulders: 18” across, from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 26 1/2 from shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam: 18 1/2” long

Chest: 42” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 38” around

Overall length: 30", measured flat

Condition: This jacket is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odours.  There may be some slight “toning” to the suede, so a cleaning would be beneficial, however, I think that the jacket is perfectly wearable as is.

This is a wonderful vintage Pierre Cardin jacket - sharp 70s look!
