Vintage 1970s Indian Pure Silk Dress Block Printed Konarak Ashok Hotel Sz M

This is an Indian pure silk dress made in India during the 1970s under the “Konarak” brand, sold at the Ashok Hotel in New Delhi. The fabric is printed with a floral pattern in tones of orange, red, blue, ochre gold and brown against a beige background colour.  The silk is lightweight and gauzy, beautiful quality and lovely for summer wear.  The dress has a V shaped neckline that closes at the top with two ties at the neck. The dress is unlined and loose fitting.

Size: No size is indicated, but please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the dress into account:

Shoulders:  16” across from shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 27 1/2” long from the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve inseam:  22”

Bust: 47” around, taken under the armpits

Waist: 45" around, meant to fall loosely in drapes 

Length: 48“, measured lying flat

Condition: It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, staining or odour - this looks to have seen little use and was well stored over the years.
