Vintage 1960s British Invasion Suit Shiny Grey w Pinstripes Fashion Tones Size M

This is a mod era men’s suit made in a shiny silver grey fabric with brownish red pinstripes.  The jacket has high set lapels and a three button front.  The shoulders of the jacket are padded and there is a flapped pocket at either side and at the left chest, all with a wide cutaway flap.  The jacket has an 12 1/2” centre vent at the back and is half lined with a red and black striped grey fabric.  It has two interior pockets. The pants have a flat front (no pleats), a semi-circular pocket at either side and a slightly tapered leg with no turned cuff at the bottom.

Material: Probably worsted wool, nice quality with a lustrous looking appearance

Sizing: No size is indicated, but this should fit a medium size, about a size 38 - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric and the cut of the suit into consideration):

Jacket:

Shoulders: 17” across shoulder seam-to-seam 

Sleeves: 24 1/2” from shoulder seam

Sleeve Inseam: 16” long

Chest: 41” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 37”

Overall length: 28“

Pants:

Waist:  31” - there is about 4 1/2” of extra fabric, so you probably could let this out to about 34”

Length:  36 1/2”

Leg Inseam:  27” - there is a 2 1/2” cuff should you require a little more length

Condition:  This suit is in very clean condition with no wear, tear, stains or odours except for a loose seam just above the back seam, just needs a few stitches (see last close-up photo) - otherwise, this suit looks like this suit saw little use and was very well kept over the years.  

This suit features very hip, British Invasion 60s era styling - great suit if it fits!
