Vintage 1950s Pink Vinyl Handbag Purse 50s Color and Style

This is a vintage 1950s era handbag purse made in a wonderful pink colour.  It is made in a large oval shape with a brushed silver-toned metal clasp and top frame, decorated with a design along the front.  It has a pink carrying strap.  The purse has either a vinyl or patent leather exterior, it’s a little difficult to tell, but the interior appears to me to be vinyl, so I assume that the exterior is also vinyl.  The exterior has a slightly pebbled texture, visible under the smooth surface (see close-up photo).  The interior has a zippered compartment built into an open compartment built onto one side.  There is a small change purse attached by a chain to the interior.

Sizing:  The purse expands out, but as it sits, it measures 14 3/4” wide by 9 1/2” high, including its metal frame, by 3” deep at its bottom.  The handle has a “fall” of 7”.

Condition:  It is in very good condition - there are two small yellowish spots on the back under the smooth surface (see last close-up photo for example) and some yellow/brown toning to the sew line at the upper right front edge, fairly minor (view photo).  Otherwise, this purse doesn’t look to have seen much use and is certainly ready for use as it is.

This is a wonderful vintage purse....great shape and colour, very 50s!
