Description: Striking vintage printed silk dress made by the fashion house of Pierre Balmain. Dress dates to either the late 50s or early 60s. It is made sleeveless with defined waistline decorated with a faux fabric belt, large buckle at the right side. Silk is printed with an abstract floral pattern and backed with an off-white silk organza. The dress fastens in the back with a metal zipper. Appears to be entirely hand-sewn and finished. Wide hemline should you need extra length.

Sizing: No size is indicated, but the dress should fit a medium size (medium sized bust and hips with a smaller waist) - please rely on the following measurements for fit:

  • Bust:  36”-38” around
  • Waist: 27”-28” around
  • Hips:  36”-38” around
  • Length:  41”

Condition:

  • Very good
  • No signs of pronounced wear, tear or staining. 
  • Dress looks to have seen little use and was well stored over the years.
