This is a lovely vintage nightie made of pink rayon fabric. It has a scoop neckline trimmed with floral embroidery. It has a high set waistline that is gathered in tucks at the top seam in order give the bosom some volume. The upper back has a deep V crossover opening. The skirt of the nightie is constructed to fall in drapes with a wide flare at the bottom created by an inset panel.
Age: 1940s
Label: The label reads “Styled by Silknit”
Sizing: There is size label that reads “38” - although this should fit a medium to large size, please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the garment into account:
Bust: 38” around
Waist: 34” around
Hips: 48” around, but meant to fall loosely
Length: 62”, measured flat
Condition: It is in very good condition with the exception of a line on the right butt area that looks like it was caused by a pen as it has the appearance of ink (see last close-up photo). Otherwise, there is no wear, tear, splits, odors or stains. This nightie was well stored over the years and looks like it saw little use.
