Vintage 70s Shearling Jacket Schianto Italy Ladies Size S M

This is a wonderful 70s era shearling jacket made in Italy by Marco under the “Schianto” brand name - Schianto is Italian for “knockout”.  The exterior of the shearling jacket has a fine suede finish, very soft, as one would expect from a fine quality shearling.  It has a plush fur collar and cuffs and the same plush fur lines the interior of the shearling jacket.  The fur is dyed using the unshorn fur of a long hair sheep.  The open edge is made of matching coloured leather.  There is a snap down flapped pocket on either side of the chest and two loops at either cuff - I’m unsure if there had been belts through the loops or if they are simply meant to decorative.  There is decorative stitching on the loops, pockets and edging the leather trim.  It closes with four buttons.

Sizing: No size is indicated on this shearling jacket but it should fit a small to medium size - please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking the thickness of the leather and the style of the shearling jacket into account:

Shoulders:  17” across from shoulder sleeve seam to shoulder sleeve seam

Sleeves:  25” from the shoulder sleeve seam

Sleeve inseam:  19” 

Bust: 37” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 32” around

Overall length: 22 1/2“

Condition: It is in very good condition - a bit of very light soiling, really nothing, and normal for this type of suede leather that has seen some use.  Otherwise, no wear, tear, odour or other defect.
