This is the ultimate disco hat!  It is made in a beret or tam shape with a full skull cap that allows one to tilt the beret at an angle yet still have stability on the head.  The hat is made of black sequins on a knitted base that has silver metallic content - the knit feels like it might be raffia as it has some body and stiffness to it, yet has elasticity so that it will mold to different sized heads.  The round top of this disco hat is wired around the edge so that it keeps its shape.  The hat should fit a range of sizes small to medium due to the elasticity of the skull cap part.  The top measures 13 1/2” in diameter.  This disco hat would date to the mid-to-late 1970s, when disco was at the height of popularity.  It is in very good condition with no wear, tear or soiling - this has been very well cared for over the years.

This is a fabulous disco hat - flashy and dramatic, sure to be noticed!
