This is a wonderful lightweight seersucker fabric dressing gown made in a deep pink colour with white piping.  The dressing gown does up with an internal tie and with a matching sash belt at the waist.  It has long sleeves with cuffs that can be turned or worn straight as pictured.  It has padded shoulders and rounded lapels.  The skirt is cut full with a wide flare to the hemline, in the 50s style.  There is a faux demi-lune pocket at either side as defined by the white piping.  The piece is unlined.

Label: Styled by Morsam.  Morsam Fashions Ltd. was founded in Montreal in 1917 by two Romanian immigrants.  It still exists today, and is presently the second largest importer of robes and loungewear in North America.

Material: Some type of synthetic, probably nylon based

Sizing: Size 16 is indicated, but this is a vintage size.  It is meant to be worn as a comfortable garment - please note the following measurements for fit, taking the style of the dress into consideration:

Shoulders: 16” across, from the shoulder/sleeve seam to the shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves:  24” with unturned cuff, from the shoulder/sleeve seam - 21” with the cuff turned

Bust:  38” around, taken under the arms 

Waist:  29”-32” around, depending on overlap, but meant to be cinched with the belt

Hips:  42” around, but meant to fall loosely

Overall length: 58", measured flat

Condition: It is in very good condition with no wear, tear, staining or odors.  This piece has been well stored and cared for over the years.

This is a wonderful 50s era dressing gown….lightweight, breezy fabric, pretty colour, and attractive style!
