Vintage 1950s Cotton Dress Red & Black Floral Size M

This is a wonderful 1950s cotton dress that features a pretty floral printed pattern in red and black against a white background.  This 1950s cotton dress is made of piqué waffle cotton.  It has a wide squared neckline, defined waist, short sleeves and a full skirt.  The dress was posed with a crinoline under the skirt in order to create a full look - although none is supplied with the dress, a crinoline would fill out the skirt, but it is not absolutely necessary.    The dress is unlined and does up the back with a metal zipper.

Sizing:  No size is indicated on this 1950s cotton dress, and although this should fit a lmedium size, please rely on the following measurements for fit, keeping the style of the garment in mind (please measure your body or a similar garment that you might own for comparison):

Bust: 38” around

Waist: 27”-28”

Hips:  42 around, but meant either to flare out or to fall loosely

Overall length: 47", measured flat from the top to the hemline

Condition:  This 1950s cotton dress is in very good condition with no pronounced wear, tear, stains or odours.  The metal loop corresponding to the hook is missing at the back neckline - easy to replace this and not even necessary.  Otherwise, this dress was well stored over the years and presents itself very well.
