This is a vintage late 1930s nightie made of pink satin with beige lace trim - it is possible that this nightgown dates to the early 1940s.  The lace is across the top and forms a sweetheart neckline, cap sleeves and a flounce - the back opening forms a deep V.  The bodice is gathered in tucks at the top and at the lace inset waist.  The hemline is also trimmed in lace.  I believe that the satin is made of rayon.

Sizing: Size M is indicated on this 1930s nightie, and although this should fit a size medium, please rely on the following measurements for fit keeping in mind that there are no openings and the nightie has to slip over the head:

Bust:  36”

Waist:  29”

Hips:  38”

Length:  55”, measured flat

Condition:  This 1930s nightie is in very good condition with no wear, tear, soiling, staining or odour.  It looks like it saw little use and was well stored.
