Vintage Gianni Versace Couture Silk and Wool Ladies Jacket Size 6 Small

This is a ladies’ jacket made in Italy under the Gianni Versace Couture label.  The jacket was made while Gianni was still alive and my guess is that it dates to about 1991.  It is cut with a longer form fitting silhouette with padded shoulders.  The jacket does up with six large brass perforated buttons down the front.  It has a rounded neckline with decorative stitching at the cuffs. The jacket is fully lined with a multicoloured illustrated fabric, very striking!  

Label: Gianni Versace Couture.  The Couture label was Versace’s main label that contained high-end apparel, often hand made.  Gianni was dropped to become Versace Couture after his death in 1997. 

Fabric:  A blend of wool, silk and cotton.  Exceptional quality.

Sizing: The size label states Italian size 40 and US size 6 (small), but please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric and the cut of the garment into consideration):

Shoulders: 16 1/2” across shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 21 1/2” from shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam: 15 1/2” long

Chest: 36” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 30”

Hips:  36”

Overall length: 28", measured flat

Condition:  This jacket is in excellent condition - it’s obvious that it saw very little use.  It is very clean and looks great! 

This is a hard to find jacket from one of the most influential fashion designers of the 1980s and 90s - super quality, classic design!
