This is a gorgeous 100% wool 50s beaded sweater made in Italy by Mirsa.  Mirsa was an important Italian knitwear company founded in 1937 by Marchesa Olga di Gresy.  They produced both the Marchesa’s designs and those of Emilio Pucci and were very popular during the 50s Italian export boom, carried by high-end stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue.  They closed in 1984.  This 50s beaded sweater is decorated with hand applied metallic charcoal beads along the neckline and down the front..  It has 3/4 length raglan style sleeves and a wide V shaped neckline.  It is cut to accent the waist and has no closures, so simply fits over the head.
